If we can't travel, at least we can dream…read about the places we want to visit.
First on my list is Malta.
I have plan to visit this beautiful country.
Malta is in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea directly south of Italy and north of Libya.
I have chosen three books which have a link to Malta.
1. Having Said Goodnight, Pierre J. Mejlak
In this enchanting collection of stories, people are often at a crossroads, somewhere between a world they know and a world that draws them somewhere else.
Crucified between the past and the future, real and imagined, they move from one point of their own lives to another, trying to understand a life lived that they may never have gained full insight into.
From the heart of the Mediterranean comes this exciting narrator, an attentive observer and a great collector of human moods.
Pierre J. Mejlak was born in Malta in 1982. His works have received multiple awards, such as the European Union Literary Prize, the Maltese National Prize for Literature and the European Short Story Award Sea of Words.
"Maybe this was her secret. She was born with the gift of not understanding the unimportant."
"He was not so much struck by her disagreement with the plan as by the "I" he noticed in her sentence."
See you next Tuesday!
